We are building the agent we wish our managers had.
Every manager we have worked with had a dashboard problem, not a data problem. They had every survey, every 1:1 note, every PTO log, and could still not tell you who on their team needed attention this week.
For ten years the answer was another tool. The unlock turned out to be different. Agents finally got good enough to do the work themselves: read the signals, find the patterns, and take the next step. That is what Headcount is.
Ritik
CEO, co-founder
Ritik runs product and the customer side of Headcount. He spends most of his time with managers and HR leads, watching how they actually use the agent and what they wish it would do next.
He believes the next decade of people-ops software gets rewritten by agents that can take action, not dashboards that show you charts. Headcount is the bet.
Keshav
CTO, co-founder
Keshav leads engineering. He owns the agent loop, the burnout scoring pipeline, and the chat integrations that let Headcount live wherever your team already messages.
He cares about agents that do real work, not toy demos. Every shipped capability has to map to a concrete action a manager would have done by hand.
What we believe
Three things we will not compromise on as Headcount grows.
Agents over dashboards
Managers do not need another tab. They need something that does the homework and shows up with the answer.
Ship-only marketing
Every capability on this site maps to code that runs in production. We will not show a screen that does not exist yet.
Privacy is a constraint, not a footnote
We do not read messages without being tagged. We do not rank people. Every aggregate has a k-anonymity floor before it leaves the database.
